To commemorate the re-launching of the Houston IGDA chapter, we rolled out the red carpet at Dave & Buster’s. The event was a great success, and drew a record crowd (of 71!) who came out to celebrate our chapter's relaunch and network with other local developers.

The event's guest speaker was Katy Daiger of the Texas Film Commission (TFC). Katy spoke to the chapter about the many benefits and incentives to be had for Texas game development studios courtesy of the TFC. A copy of the PowerPoint presented by Katy can be found by clicking here.

Following the presentation, everyone was set loose in a reserved gaming area at Dave & Busters, courtesy of our meeting sponsor, to party the night away and socialize with other local developers.

Thanks to everyone who came out! I would also like to extend an extra special thanks to our event volunteers: James Kneuper, Bryan Haskell and Jerry Greene.
